The JAHJAH Foundation is helping to improve pediatric cancer care in Jamaica.
We will be hosting our annual conference on Monday January 16, 2017 in the conference room at Bustamante Hospital for Children. This year, as was done for the past two years, Dr. Maria Sulis will bring a team from Columbia University and Medical Centre, New York to provide their expertise at the conference. They partner with us along with the Bustamante Hospital for Children. Together, the team provides a workshop for the doctors from public hospitals across Jamaica.
We have partnered with Columbia University In The City of New York and Bustamante Hospital for Children, Kingston, Jamaica, in this effort. In 2014, our partnership gave birth to the annual Pediatric Oncology Conference. Pediatricians and other healthcare professionals involved in pediatric care across Jamaica come together to discuss updates in pediatric cancer care and best practice in caring for children with cancer. Attendees participate in lectures about timely diagnosing and treating cancer in children, share knowledge and expertise on the subject, among other things.
We are committed to this project and partnership and welcome your support.
