The Spanish Town Hospital is set to benefit from a donation of over 250 pieces of equipment and furniture from the Government of Spain valued at approximately one hundred thousand Euros (€100,000).
Minister of Health, Hon. Rudyard Spencer accepted the donation from the Embassy of Spain at a function at the King of Spain Wing this morning. Minister Spencer says the addition to the number of working equipment in the public health sector will go a far way in assisting to meet the health care needs of the people of Jamaica.

Newly renovated labour and delivery suite at Savanna-La-Mar Hospital expected to benefit 2,300 Women each year.
Minister of Health, Hon. Rudyard Spencer says the newly renovated Labour and Delivery Suite at the Savanna-La-Mar Hospital is expected to benefit the approximately two thousand three hundred (2,300) women who use that section of the facility each year. The Suite was officially opened by the Minister on Thursday, July 7, 2011.
